Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
 
Description
The senior financial reporting analyst is responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles in accordance with U.S. GAAP, perform procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial statements, and ensure appropriate internal control policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • Assists in the preparation of internal and external financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Assists in the preparation of consolidated analysis including fixed assets, accrued expenses, equity related schedules and ad hoc analysis required for financial statements.
  • Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses and ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures;
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes making certain all financial reporting deadlines are met;        
  • Support budget and forecast activities, including preparation of fluxes against actual results         
  • Monitor and support taxation requirements for provision, as well as complete and issue Form 1099 filings;
  • Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process including working with external auditors;        
  • Collect / analyze financial information and develop and maintain financial databases;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data;
  • Assist with ad-hoc procedures as requested from management   

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Related experience in accounting of 3-4 years within a public company and/or public accounting firm.
  • CPA Required
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, including financial statements and key ratios.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience involving extensive work with complex spreadsheets.
  • Team player who doesn't mind digging into the details.
  • Understanding of US GAAP and experience researching technical accounting issues.
  • Highly motivated individual who can work independently.
