POSITION TITLE & LOCATION
Equipment Support Technician I
Long Beach, CA
Position is responsible for the distribution, cleaning, preparing, and managing all durable medical equipment issued to patients in the medical center and performs duties under the responsibility of the ESS Manager. The incumbent is responsible for the retrieval, decontaminating, cleaning, inspection, assembly, storage, and distribution of all reusable and single use devices used during medical treatment and diagnosis during the patients stay. All work done in accordance with local infection control policies and established regulatory and mandated requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- One to three years hospital experience in SPD or equipment support role
- Basic knowledge of disinfection and sterilization processes
- High school graduate
- Certification or CES manager approval
- SPD certification also considered
$18hr – $20hr
