JOB TITLE
Administrative Assistant Behavioral Health

JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing professional level administrative support to the Director of Behavioral Health and Behavioral Health Manager on a routine basis, and providing general administrative support to the department to maintain daily operations.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Professionally prepare all required reports and correspondence for Management and department staff as requested.
  2. Act as the central point of contact for the department, routing inquiries to the appropriate staff member, ensuring adequate phone and department coverage.
  3. Coordinate committees and departmental meetings that include scheduling, preparing agendas and minutes in a timely and professional manner, and any other tasks needed to ensure a successful meeting.
  4. Coordinate departmental office administration functions using various computer applications to track processes and maintain files, and ordering supplies as needed.
  5. Process invoices in a timely manner to ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
  6. Any other duties as required to ensure Health Plan operations are successful.
  7. Ensure the privacy and security of PHI (Protected Health Information) as outlined in Company’s policies and procedures relating to HIPAA compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma required or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in an office environment including proficiency in microcomputer applications, and ability to work effectively with various levels of staff.
  • Achieve at least 80% proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites as tested by Company or another hiring agency. Experience in using Microcomputer applications that generally exist in an office environment. Ability to compose professional level correspondence.
